Just In! The Asian Cricket Council has postponed the Asia Cup 2020 that was expected to happen in September. The tournament will now be hosted by Sri Lanka in June 2021. The Asian Cricket Council issued a media statement in this regard, addressing that due to ongoing Crisis of Covid-19, The Board of the ACC has decided to postpone the Asia Cup tournament.

The Statement came after one day of BCCI President Saurav Ganguly stating that:
Asia Cup will be canceled this year.
This Media Statement from Asian Cricket Councils has further cleared the Clouds hovering over the fate of Indian Premier League 2020. With T20 World Cup 2020 likely to be rescheduled in 2021, there is a plenty of time for IPL 2020 to take place.
The ongoing Coronavirus crisis has already took 500,00 Human lives. Therefore, after careful consideration Asian Cricket Council has decided to postpone the Asia Cup tournament in 2020.
Pakistan have already gifted the Asia Cup hosting rights to Sri Lanka Cricket in 2020. Therefore, Sri Lanka Cricket Will now be hosting Asia Cup in June 2021. Whereas, Pakistan will host the next edition in 2022.
