After New Zealand, England too withdraws scheduled, committed and confirmed tour to Pakistan and putting same reason like Kiwi team did in front of PCB. The “English Cricket Board” has announced that they have called off 2-match T20 series scheduled to be played in mid-October.

Following New Zealand’ last minute call off of 3-Match ODI series due to security threat, the English team has also cancelled the tour on the basis of security threat.

England’ Women team was also due to play T20 and ODI series in Rawalpindi in mid-October, but now both teams will not be visiting Pakistan.

Newly appointed PCB’ chairman Ramiz Raja responded well after confirmation of cancellation. He tweeted

“Disappointed with England, pulling out of their commitment & failing a member of their cricket fraternity when it needed it most. Survive we will Insha Allah. A wake up call for Pak team to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without making excuses”

Spokesperson of England Cricket Board said “We Understand that this decision will be a significant disappointment to the PCB, who have worked tirelessly to host the return of international cricket in their country”
