Finally the detailed schedule of T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 has been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the mega event will be started on 18th October, 2021 in UAE, while the final match will be played on 15th November, 2021. The most wanted Cricket Event originally had to kicked off on 18th October, 2020 in Australia which later shifted to India.
The T20 World Cup 2021 again shifted from India to the UAE due to horrible crisis of COVID-19 pandemic in India, but ICC didn’t confirm the complete dates and schedule at that time. However, the ICC made solid confirmation of T20 World Cup 2021 after approval from UAE Government and BCCI’ permission in July 2021.
This time group division and teams placement is quite interesting yet simple. ICC announced the groups division for the mega event on 16th July, 2021 which is based on team’s rankings and points as well.

West Indies, the current champion of T20 World Cup is placed with England, Australia and South Africa in Group 1 for the Super 12s Stage, while two more qualifiers from Round 1 will also join them.
On the other side, the Group 2 holds arch rival India and Pakistan along with New Zealand, Afghanistan and two more qualifiers from Round 1. Eight teams will participate in Round 1 including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka who reserved their spot automatically, while other six participants became eligible for this purpose after winning T20 World Cup 2021 Qualifying event held in Ireland.
Round 1, which consists of 8 teams will be started on 17th October, 2021 with the first game between Sri Lanka and Ireland. Round 1 of T20 World Cup 2021 will be ended on 23rd October with the last game between Bangladesh and Scotland. There are total 12 matches as part of ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2021.
As mentioned above, the Super 12s stage will contain four qualifiers and 8 permanent ICC members. The 4 qualifiers will only be able to participate in Super 12s after they win the Round 1 matches by beating their opponents.
Total 30 matches are part of Super 12s and this stage starting from October 24 and final game of Super 12s Stage is scheduled to be played 8 November, 2021 in Dubai.
