Just In: While India and Pakistan are preparing for the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup group stage match; BCCI is not interested in a bilateral series between the two countries. The Indian Cricket Board has released a statement stating that India won’t play Pakistan till 2027.

It is pertinent to mention that Men in Green are scheduled to play India in their opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup. The high-voltage clash will be played at Melbourne on October 23.

Even though there has been significant public lobbying for a bilateral series between India and Pakistan, the BCCI has officially informed its stakeholders that India will not play archrival Pakistan during the 2023–27 FTP Cycle.

Official sources claim that the Indian Cricket Board has informed all of its State Bodies of the full schedule of the Future Tour Program over the next four years. However, the BCCI cannot decide on a bilateral series with Pakistan unless it receives approval from the Indian government.

According to India’s FTPs, they will play 38 Test Matches, 42 ODIs, and 61 T20Is in the 2023-2027cycle. Notably, the number of bilateral matches of Team India has reduced to 141 from 163 in the upcoming FTP. The columns for games versus Pakistan are, however, still blank.
