Kate Cross was quick to impress everyone when she made history by becoming the first woman to play in the central Lancashire League. If that wasn't enough, she went onto register incredible figures of 3-19 on debut and 8-47 later in the season. The right arm seam bowler made her international debut in England's tour of West Indies in October 2013. Her Test debut came a few months later against Australia in which she returned match figures of 7-70. Cross was one of two English imports for the 2014-15 Women’s Brisbane Heat team. She later played for Perth Scorchers too. Outside of cricket, Cross is also an ambassador for Chance to Shine, a charity devoted to helping kids with education and leadership qualities.
She is the daughter of 1980 FA Cup winner and former West Ham United striker David Cross.
