The left-handed batsman added this feather to his notable career during the 24th Over by hitting a boundary to Sikandar Raza. Tamim Iqbal displays a wonderful record both as a Captain and Batter as he also holds the highest number of centuries for Bangladesh – 14.
Tamim Iqbal is the 33rd player in ODI history to score more than 8,000 runs, meanwhile only the 9th opener in cricketing history to reach this landmark. Shakib ul Hasan with 6755-runs is distant at 2nd position for the Bangladesh side.
The 33-years old ODI skipper appeared in his 227th ODI innings with 7943 runs in sum against Zimbabwe on Friday. He also scored his 54th ODI half-century during the process to breach the milestone of Most ODI runs for Bangladesh in ODI Format.
