Just In! Former Test Cricketer and Legendary Batsman Younis Khan has been appointed the new Batting Coach By PCB. This new appointment came right before Pakistan is preparing for England tour. In addition, Mushtaq Ahmed, Waqar Younis, Misbahul Haq will also accompany Younis Khan for England tour as Spin Bowling Coach, Fast Bowling Coach and Head Coach respectively. Finally, some good news for Pakistan Cricket fans after the shocking closure of PSL 2020 due to Covid-19, as PCB declares Younis Khan as the new Batting Coach of Pakistan Team before England tour. Younis Khan retired from test cricket as the pioneer of the game and with 34 test hundreds (most by a Pakistani), he surely deserves this stature.
Moreover, Younis Khan was the first Pakistani to score 10,000 Test Runs. He also holds the five 100’s in four test innings which is a world record till this date. In addition, he is the only player to score hundreds in 11 countries.
On this new Appointment PCB CEO Wasim Khan Said:
“I am delighted that someone of the stature and incredible batting record of Younis Khan has agreed to join the Pakistan cricket set-up for this important tour.
Younis Khan expressed his views on this announcement as:
For me, there has never been a bigger honor and a better feeling than to represent my country and I feel privileged to have been again offered the opportunity to serve it for a challenging but exciting tour of England.
PCB Head Coach Misbahulhaq added:
With the reputation and record Younis brings with him, I see this as a great opportunity for our young players to hone their skills and learn how to make a transition from a good to a great cricketer.
For Years, the duo of Younis Khan and Misbahulhaq have ruled in the test cricket sharing record partnership in many test matches. Now, they are back together in the dressing room, watching over the Pakistani Cricket team.
