1. Don Bradman

At number 1 we have none other than Late Australian Legendary Cricketer Sir Don Bradman. He stands as the Greatest Batsmen in the history of Cricket. His batting average of 99.94 is the greatest achievement by any Sportsmen in any sport. He was a Great Sporting Idol in Australia during great Depression. Former Australian Captain Bill Wood Full Praised him as “Worth Three Batsmen to Australia”.

Not only this, Sir Don Bradman was also characterized as the Great Living Australian in 1997 by Australian Prime Minister. He was inducted into ICC Hall of fame in 2009. After performing good in the First Class Cricket he was selected in Australian Test Team. World Record Crowd used to come and see Bradman play cricket at MCG.

 

Don Bradman is the only Player to pass 300 in One Day’s Play in test cricket. He also set up the record to score three triple hundreds in a series. The Don Holds the records of Highest Batting Average, Highest Series batting average, Highest Test Rating, Most Double Centuries and Most Triple Centuries. At the same time, he is the fastest batsman to score two triple hundreds.

During his career, he scored 6,996 runs in 52 test matches at an average of 99.94. His career indicated 29 centuries and 13 fifties with a highest score of 334. For all these achievements, he was hailed by Wisden as the Greatest Phenomena in Cricket History, indeed in the history of all ball games. He was also named as the captain for All time Test World XI by Wisden.

2. Sachin Tendulkar

Next we have Indian Cricket God and Legendary Batsman Sachin Tendkular at the 2nd place. Of Course, Highest run scorer of all times in International cricket deserves a spot on our list. Rated behind Don Brand in tests and Viv Richards in ODIs, the Little Master is one of the Greatest Batsmen in Cricket for all times.

 

He is the only batsman in cricket history to score a century of Hundreds in cricket. Apart from it, Sachin Tendulkar owns most runs in test and ODI format. During his international Career, he hit 30,000 runs in International cricket. He is the only batsman to play 200 tests in cricket. He scored 15,921 runs in the test format. Whereas, his ODI career marked 18,426 runs in the format.

3. Viv Richards

Widely considered as the Greatest ODI batsman of all times in cricket, legendary West Indian cricketer takes the 3rd spot on our list of greatest Batsmen in the history of the cricket. Wisden Cricketer chosed him as the greatest test man of all times in 2002. Apart from it, he was also voted as one of the five cricketers of the century by a panel of 100 members of experts in 2000.

 

He is the only batsman to receive 20 Man of the Match Awards in ODI history. During his career he scored 85,84 runs at an average of 50.23 in test format which also included 24 hundreds. At the same time, his ODI career marks 6,721 runs in 187 matches including 11 hundreds.

Viv Richards is the fastest Batsman to score 1,000 runs in ODI cricket. He set many record during his career. All his achievements in cricket earn him a spot on our list.

4. Sir Garfield Sobers

Legendary West Indian Cricket Sir Garfield Sobers joins our list at the 4th spot. He is one of the greatest batsman in cricket history and the greatest All-rounder in cricket history at the same time. After playing First Class cricket he joined West Indies Cricket Team in 1954. He set highest individual score in a test innings of 365* against Pakistan in 1958.

 

He was the first Batsman to score six sixes in an over of First Class Cricket. Gary Sobers was declared Wisden Cricketer of the year in 1964 and Wisden Cricketer of Century in 2000. During his career he scored 8,032 runs at an average of 57.78 in 93 tests which included 26 centuries. His highest score remained 365* in test format.

5. Jacques Kallis

Fromer South African Cricketer Jacques Kallis is one of the greatest Batsmen in the history of cricket. Not only this, he is also one of the greatest all-rounder in cricket history as well. Kallis is the only cricketer to score 10,000 runs and take 250 wickets in Test and ODI formats.

 

During his career he scored 13,289 runs in 166 test matches at an average of 55.37 which included 45 centuries. Apart from it, he also scratched 11,579 runs in 328 ODI matches with an average of 44.37 including 17 hundreds. Kallis holds the record for Most Man of the Match awards in test cricket.

6. Brian Lara

At number 6, we have former West Indian Captain and Legendary Cricketer Brian Lara on our list. He is regarded as one of the Greatest Batsman in the history of cricket. He holds the record of highest individual score of First Class Cricket with his 501 not out for Warwickshire. At the same time, he recorded the highest Individual score in a test innings with his 400 not out against England.

During his career, Brian Lara Topped Test Batting rankings for multiple times. He is the only batsman to achieve Highest Individual score in test, twice. Not only this, Lara is the fastest batsman to score 10,000 and 11,000 runs in test cricket.

His test career indicates 11,593 runs at an average of 52.83 with 34 hundreds and a highest score of 400* in 131 matches. Whereas, his ODI marks 10,405 runs at an average of 40.48 in 299 matches.

He joined ICC Hall of Fame in 2012 and now he joins our list of greatest Batsmen in Cricket History.

7. Ricky Ponting

Legendary Australian Captain and Cricketer Ricky Ponting also joins our list at the 7th place. He is one of most successful captains in cricket history and best batsman in modern era. Ponting was named ICC Cricketer of the Decade in 2000. He is one of the four players to score more than 13,000 runs in test cricket.

Ricky Ponting was the first batsman to score a hundred against all test playing nation in cricket history. He scored 13,378 runs at an average of 51.85 in 168 test match recording 41 hundreds. Whereas, his ODI career marks 13,704 runs in 375 matches with an average of 42.03 and 30 hundreds.

8. Kumara Sangakara

Next we have Legendary Sri Lankan Captain Kumara Sangakara at the 8th place on our list. He is one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket who remained at top among all three formats during his career. With 28,016 runs in International Cricket, he earns a place on our list.

Kumara Sangakara holds the record for scoring fastest 8,000, 9,000, 10,000 ,11,000 and 12,000 runs in Test Cricket. He has second most double hundreds of 11 after 12 of Sir Don Bradman. Sanga is the first player to score 150 runs in four consecutive test innings. Apart from it, he also owns second most half centuries record in ODI format.

During his career Kumara Sangakara scored 12,400 runs 134 test at an average of 57.40 including 38 hundreds. His top score remained 319 in tests. At the same time, his ODI career marks 14,234 runs at an average of 41.98 with 25 hundreds.

He broke Georg Headly’s 47 years record of youngest cricketer to score a double hundred by recording his double hundred. 10. Rahul Dravid

At last we have Legendary Indian Batsman Rahul Dravid making up the final spot on our list. With 24,177 runs in International cricket, he is one of the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. He earned his nicknames of MR Dependable and The Great Wall for his ability to hold his wicket and score big runs during crucial moments of the match.

He holds the unique record of not getting out on Golden duck in his 286 test innings. During his career, he scored 13,288 runs in 164 test matches at an average of 52.31 including 36 hundreds. His ODI career marked 10,889 runs in 344 ODI matches including 12 hundreds.

With more than 24,000 runs in International cricket, Rahul Dravid earns the last spot on our list of Top 10 all times greatest batsmen in cricket history.
