With ICC T20 World Cups being a shorter format in cricket, there have not been much hundreds. Though, some of the hard hitting batsmen scored fastest fifties in the T20 WCs, however only a few reached the mile stone of scoring a hundred in T20 World Cup.

Chris Gayle was the first ever batsman to score a hundred in T20 World Cup. Later, few other batsmen join the list. Here is the list of all ICC T20 World Cup with most centuries in the tournament.

Chris Gayle became the first ever batsman to score a hundred in T20 World Cup on on 11th September 2007. He set up the record of highest individual T20 World Cup score at Johannesburg against T20 World Cup 2007 host team South Africa. The universe made 117 on 57 balls with the help of 10 sky kissing sixes and 7 boundaries. His strike rate remained 205.26 during his innings.

His average strike rate remained 208.33. Gayle Force for a Reason. It was a Super 10 Match in T20 World Cup 2016 in which England met West Indies. England scored a hue target of 182/6 in 20 overs. However, with the help of Chris Gayle West Indies run down the target in 17th over.

Former Indian Batsman Suresh Raina was the 2nd Batsman to score a hundred in T20 World Cup. He achieved the mile stone on 2 May 2010 in the 5th Match of T20 World Cup 2010 against South Africa. Raina overall scored 101 runs on 60 balls with the help of five magnificent sixes and 9 boundaries. His Strike remained 168.33 during the innings.

It was a 5th Match in Group C of T20 World Cup 2010 and India set up a target of 185/5 against South Africa. However, SA ended up 172 for 5 in 20 overs and fell short in the race. As a result, India won the match by 14 runs. Suresh Raina was declared Man of the Match for his thunder innings that lead India to the victory.

3#. Mahela Jayewardene

Legendary Sri Lankan batsman and the highest runs scorer of T20 World Cup Mahela Jayewardene was the 3rd batsman to score a hundred in T20 World Cup. He became the only Sri Lankan to achieve the milestone of a T20 hundred on 3 May 2010 against Zimbabwe at Providence. In the effort, he scored 100 runs on 64 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 10 boundaries.

4#. Brandon McCullum

Former New Zealand Captain Brandon McCullum was the 4th batsman to score a hundred in T20 World Cup history. He achieved the milestone against Bangladesh on 21 Sep 2012 at Pallekele Cricket Stadium. McCullum went on to score 123 runs on 58 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 11 boundaries in the course.

Whereas, his average strike rate remained 212.06. As a result, New Zealand set up a huge target of 191/3 in 20 overs while batting first against Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh failed to chase the target and summed up their turn at 132/8.

Therefore, New Zealand won the match by 59 runs. Brandon McCullum received Man of the Match award for his extremely fast innings.

5#. Alex Hales

Present Day English Cricketer Alex Hales was the 5th man to score a T20 hundred. He brought of this mile stone against Sri Lanka at Chattogram Cricket stadium on 27 March 2014. He remained unbeaten at 111 while facing 64 balls and hitting six classy sixes and 11 beautiful boundaries.

Whereas, his strike rate remained 181.5 in that innings. It was 22nd Match in Super 10 stage of T20 World Cup 2014 between England and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had set up a mountainous total of 189/4 while batting first against England.

However, England stood victorious in the chase with the help of lightening fast innings from Alex Hales. England won the match by 6 wickets and Alex Hales received Man of the Match award for his score. Now, He joins our list of Most 6s in T20 Wcs.

6#. Ahmed Shahzad

One of the most under-rated Cricketer in Pakistan and Quetta Gladiator Star Player Ahmed Shahzad was the 6th Batsman to score a T20 World Cup hundred. Till date, he remains the only Pakistani batsman with a T20 World Cup hundred.

Shahzad reached the milestone in the 27th Match of T20 World Cup 2014 against Bangladesh at Dhaka on 30 March 2014. He remained unbeaten at 111* by facing 62 balls. Apart from it, he also struck 5 sixes and 10 boundaries in that innings. Whereas, his average strike rate remained 179.03.

It was a Super 10 match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2014. With the help of that thundering fast innings from Shahzad, Pakistan managed to put a huge target of 190/5. In return, Bangladesh summed up their chase at 140/7. Hence, Pakistan won the match by 50 runs and Ahmed Shahzad was awarded Man of the Match.

7#. Tamim Iqbal

Talented Bangladeshi opener Tamim Iqbal was the 7th Batsman to score a T20 World Cup hundred. He became the first Bangladeshi batsman in history to score a hundred in T20 World Cup. Tamim recorded this milestone in First Round Stage of T20 World Cup 2016 against Namibia.

The Match took place at Dharamsala Cricket Stadium on 13 March 2016. Tamim remained unbeaten at 103 after facing 63 balls. His innings included 5 Sixes and 11 boundaries. Whereas, his strike rate remained 163.49. It was Round 1st match in T20 World  Cup 2016 between Bangladesh and Oman. Bangladesh posted a huge target of 180/2 while batting first against Oman.

However, Oman summed up their short turn at one of the lowest 2nd innings score in T20 World Cup history. As a result, Bangladesh won the match by 54 runs and Tamim Iqbal received Player of the Match award for his aggressive innings.
